Happy Birthday!

Dear Maxwell,

Happy Birthday...you're finally here with us!!!! You were born on November 21, 2008 at 11:08am. You were 7 lbs 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. You are perfect! We went into the hospital at 3:30am and you were born 7 1/2 hours later. It was a smooth delivery and that rash I had went away as soon as you entered the world!

You've been here for a week and a day and so far you are an angel baby! You sleep and eat really good and have gained all your weight back and then some in the first week. You had your first doctor appointment yesterday and you weighed 7 lbs 10.5 oz! You're an eater..just like your brother!

Speaking of your brother...he LOVES you! He loves to hold you, pet your head, and push you in your swing. He can't wait for you to get bigger so he can have a playmate!

We are so happy you're finally here with us....I love my family full of boys! This Thanksgiving was the best one yet!

Love you,
Mommy

You Stinker!

My Max,

You have really caused quite a stir around here the past few weeks. Not only did you want to come early and made me go on bedrest for 6 weeks, but then, when it was ok for you to come, you don't! Your due date is in 6 days and you seem to be quite cozy in my tummy.

You got your Daddy and I so excited last week...I started having contractions every 5 minutes for an hour and a half, so we called our neighbor, Carol, to come over and stay with Noah until Annie could get here to spend the night (it was 11:00 pm). By the time we got to the hospital I had been having consistent contractions for two and a half hours...but NO, you didn't want to be born that night and they sent us home! We got home around 2:30am and were so disappointed.

To top it off, since then, I developed a full body itch rash called PUPPS that can sometimes happen in the late stage of pregnancy. It's supposed to go away once your born, so come on already and relieve me! I'm also getting a low grade temp every night around 6:00pm and it last throughout the night. It makes me feel like I'm getting sick, but luckily it goes away by the morning. However, I am exhausted by the morning from itching all night and tossing and turning. Poor Mommy!

So, if you aren't here by Friday, we're going to the hospital to be induced. That means that you'll be born 4 days before your due date to put me out of my misery and we'll be so excited to meet you! You better be a little less maintenance once you're born...not sure that's in the cards though based on how this pregnancy has gone!

Can't wait to meet you...your room is ready and we're all waiting,
